Workshop on Epoxy Floor Coating Application

Last Saturday, Carmacoat held their first workshop about "Epoxy Floor Coating Application" where attending contractors learned about the application of our 3-layer epoxy floor coating and proper coving installation. The workshop also included lectures on proper surface preparation and maintenance practices to prolong the lifespan of epoxy flooring systems. 

Carmacoat has been in the business of epoxy paint  manufacturing and epoxy floor coating installation since 1993. Decades of experience in the industry has allowed it to establish itself as a company that provides "Durability you can stand on" and last Saturday Carmacoat shared some of their knowledge and experience to contractors that attended their workshop on Epoxy Floor Coating Application. This is the first in a series of workshops that company will be holding in the future with the goal of certifying contractors that finish the entire series of workshops as trained flooring professionals acknowledged by the company. 

On the morning of the workshop, attendees simulated applying the topcoat, midcoat, and primer for Carmacoat's FS33 (flooring system). They each had a board prepared for them and, with our own professionals guiding them, they learned how to apply the topcoat to an existing layer of midcoat. Afterwards, they were shown how to install a quarter-C coving followed by the primer application on a plain surface, In between the simulations, our instructor and CEO, Richard Carbonell, explained the methodology behind FS33 as well as answered any questions the attendees had. After a quick lunch provided by the company, attendees proceeded to the presentation proper where they learned about surface preparation and the technical side of epoxy floor coating application. After a short tour around the company to survey the several epoxy flooring types installed in different areas, the workshop then turned to simulating the midcoat application on the same boards that they applied primer and coving on earlier. At the end of our workshop, our attendees are able to take home professional knowledge on epoxy flooring, individual certification, and a sample kit of our products worth PHP 7,000.
